These are glimpses into my life, images of the consistency of nature. The flowers that bloom each spring, the sun that rises each morning, the full moon that comes to visit each month and fill the darkness with light. Simple images, simple moments, simply real.
I am grateful that the universe creates bold art that is almost impossible to ignore. I say almost because there are many who never seem to see it. However, it is highly evident when we stop and really look.
Perhaps this is why nature feels like home for so many of us. It is the place that we can shut out the noise and the crowds, we can just be in it. Absorb it, become one with it. The smell of fresh rain on the grass, the scent of flowers, the feel of the breeze blowing against skin, birds calling out, lizards and squirrels scurrying. Water flowing. This very real yet magical place to lose ourselves in.
My soul craves these forays into nature, they are as necessary for my mind and my soul as air and water are for my body. My gratitude for life renews when I spend time amongst trees and flowers.
There is a sweetness to the solitude when you can step away from the busy, from the over-thinking, from stress. I am grateful for the small spaces of nature that exist around me. I am grateful for the freedom to escape into nature to find myself. The escape is also the found. Found in the resilience of the plants and trees, in the way birds sing for no apparent reason except to share their story and the beauty of their music.
The tapestry of nature is filled with hope, with renewal, with life. Creating the time in our busy lives to be in the peace of nature is a way to nurture ourselves, to recharge our batteries, and to remind us of the many wonderful things that surround us each day.
As we start a busy week I hope that you create the time to be within the warm embrace of nature. That you hold your hopes and dreams and that when their glow dims a little you find everything you need to fill them with the sunshine and moon glow that revives them and makes them shine brightly again.
Much gratitude and love my friends!
