As we get ready to embark on a new year we tend to review the year we are in, review our lives, and resolve to make changes for our future. Going into this new year with a list of resolutions can be daunting. I have spent some time thinking about mine. About this current year and what I have learned from the experiences I have been through. The things that I have come up with are pretty simple and when I think of it I realize that all that really matters to me is that I spend my time really living as much as possible. Figuring out how to do that as life twists and turns. Being open to the possibilities, fully embracing the best moments without getting caught up in the what if of the future while still setting goals for the future. Taking the steps to make my little portion of the world a better place.

There are small steps that help keep that focus and even with some resolutions to follow those steps I know I will skip a step or even veer off the path completely occasionally and that is okay. It is easy enough to get back on path and sometimes the detour leads to a better path with different steps. That’s the joy of this adventure of life. The magic that we can’t see in the distance, the unexpected that surprises us and takes us on a magic carpet ride.

My wish for us all in this new year is that we  take the time to look at the flowers, watch some bees buzz around, listen to the wind, sing along with the radio, kiss passionately, hug tight, laugh loud, play often, and read more.

Much love and wishes of joy!

Not a fan of shoes. Love trails, painting, the sky, Dr. Who, Sherlock, and my little spotted dog. Founding member of Team FlashFoot. Obsessed with taking photos of the sky and flowers. Would rather be working in the yard than in a group of people. Sundays are made for margaritas.
