Slowing Down

There are moments in life when you realize how easy it is to forget promises you’ve made to yourself. Moments when you connect with someone and want the conversation to keep going because it’s this exhilarating feeling. There’s delight found in all the commonalities. There’s also a healthy dose of skepticism. When life has taught you to slow down. To enjoy the moment, but not rush it.

In all things in life balance is key. Balance. Just when you think you’re getting the hang of it something happens to remind you that you’ve got learning to do.

Balance, you’re my mantra. Find that balance. Slow down the brain. Savor the happiness like it’s that early morning cup of coffee at The Perfect Cup in Matlacha.

Even as I fight to maintain this balance the universe is whispering to me that it’s always there if I stop to feel it. Balance is found in the sky above me and the Earth beneath me. It moves at it’s steady pace and in complete perfection. Every plant grows in perfect time with no concern about speeding the process up. It knows it’s going to bloom and has no care if it takes minutes or days or weeks.

Balance. Balance. Just breathe.

Life is beautiful.

Excuse my ramblings my friends. If they make sense to you then I’m grateful the universe compelled me to share them. If they make no sense to you, well you should be used to that by now.

Much love.
