Breaking up with Facebook.

Sitting in my little oasis and drinking a glass of wine while contemplating how the more connected I am to technology the more I feel disconnected from my soul. This prompted some research and some conversations with friends that in turn prompted me to decide to give up FB.

For whatever reason it seems that many people who walk away from FB find they enjoy life more. Maybe it’s because they’re not tuned in to seeing everything everyone is posting. I might go back to it one day or I might turn it off forever.

What I’m really hoping for is that this breakup causes me to reach out to friends in a more personal way. Text, calls, emails, notes. Something a little more focused than a quick thumbs up on social media.
